Michael Shure
The Young Turks host Michael Shure has been with TYT in many on-air capacities, since 2001. He is the anchor of the new TYT show "Reasonably Shure," and is currently Senior National Correspondent for i24 News, the cable television, and streaming news network, based in Tel Aviv and New York. He served as Chief Political Correspondent for Al Jazeera America, having been with the network during its’ entire three year run.
Prior to that he anchored “The War Room with Michael Shure,” a one-hour news and political show airing weeknights on Current TV. At Current, Shure served as Political Correspondent and Guest Host across the network’s programming, including for The Young Turks show on the network.
Michael was a correspondent for CNN’s “NewsStand” series, profiling new entertainment talent for the network. He worked at WNBC in New York, and is an alumnus of the famed NBC Page program. Michael has performed with Los Angeles’ Groundling Theater and has had small roles in films and TV series ranging from “Showgirls.” To “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
TYT’s “Epic Politics Man” Michael continues to report and analyze politics across many shows, and co-anchors special election coverage at the network. Michael was born in, and grew up in New York City. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and lives in Los Angeles with his son, Owen.
